The good: 1) The location 2) The view from the property 3) Cost ; availability The bad: 4)Bed linen was not fresh 5)Dysfunctional bathroom shower; very little water in pipes - due for repairs 6)No room heater The ugly: 7)Electric kettle was made of poor quality plastic , which was worn out of over-use 8)Food is served hot in poor quality plastic. 9)Among two hosts, Anish is temperamental , and intimidating - I was made to walk to egg shell around her and for the same reason , we didnot complain about the linen or the shower or water . The place is not suitable for couples or families, though it is an affordable one for backpackers 10) Poor communication - we waited an entire morning for the breakfast - it was not communicated beforehand that we need to raise a request for breakfast everyday 11)No heater in rooms ; no way to dry wet clothes (wet- because there are occasional rains) 12)We had high expectations reading the reviews from past. The experience was far from good.

Everything about Wyoming House was excellent. The property's garden and views were picture-perfect; each morning we basked in the sun and watched the clouds roll over the hillsides as we ate breakfast in the garden. One night we stayed in and enjoyed the historic charm of the sitting room. The proprietor Rohit and his wife were excellent hosts, and the home-cooked food was delicious. Rohit arranged for a taxi to take us on a day-long trip to the Benchmark Tea Plantation and the Dolphin Nose viewpoint, which are not to be missed. Wyoming House was the perfect Ooty homestay.

Wonderful homestay set in a beautiful position with stunning views outside of Ooty. The garden rooms are lovely - very spacious, clean, comfortable beds and constant hot water in the bathroom. The pretty, beautifully maintained garden is perfect to relax in and have breakfast. Our hosts Rohith and Aneesh were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, arranging trips and taxis. Aneesh is a fantastic cook and the evening meals were delicious and a very reasonable price.

Beautiful location! Terrible caretaker and service

Very good property. Terrible and rude caretaker! No doubt the property is beautiful that’s why we booked the resort second time , this with my brother and family. We are 2 doctor families from Kerala and when we booked the room this time we told that we will be checking in late as the roads were bad after the rains and floods and they had AGREED. Me n my family checked in at 10pm. Incident 1... we asked the caretaker to select the music channel and this was the lady’s response ‘you trying changing the channels yourself if it is there you will get else we will recharge tomorrow ‘. What a wonderful way to speak to the guests! Incident 2:Then as we had told them b4 the 2nd family checked in at 11pm. My sis in law is 7 months pregnant and as soon as they arrived Mr & Mrs. Roshit came again and told us ‘ please switch off your car your car is causing noise pollution in my property ‘. Did she expect us to park the car kms away from the property??? Incident 3) we 2 families are meeting after a long time and so we were greeting each other. Mrs. roshit arrives again this time with her “HOSTEL” rules. We can’t step outside our rooms, we can’t go to each other rooms, blah! Blah! We really got frustrated with their behaviour as we had informed them b4 of late check in and she is showing her attitude. She could have conveyed what she wanted to say in a decent tone! She started to shout and say ‘this is my house , I will decide how you should behave in my house, I am going to lock the doors and you cannot go out of the rooms, if you don’t obey me I will ask you to leave’ .she reminded me of my hostel warden!! We told her that then we will pay for extra bed and use a single room if she has issues , to which she told that she will hange for extra bed as well as the room!!!! The. She told that if we go to each other’s rooms, we will have to pay for all the rooms in the resort. Where will there be such rules? I asked her if this is a hostel or a resort ?no resort imposes restrictions on their guests in sitting outside their room! To which she replied that she is the owner of the house and her rules reigns! I don’t know if she is the owner or caretaker! All I know is that we have never seen such a terrible behaviour from any hosts so far. We have stayed at multiple home stays , resorts... but for the first time such a terrible experience. I just want to ask you people one thing, if you had problem with latecheck in why didn’t you tell when we booked itself??? We had made very clear that we will be checking in after 10pm??? Why simply ruining a holiday ??

Beautiful property with a great view! Caretakers are very polite and helpful and food is very tasty. You can also visit nearby restaurant Earl's secret for lunch. Property is well maintained with a beautiful garden and trees. Highly recommended place! I will definitely visit again.
